Merchant: My name is Tatiana
Marchant and I am a music publicist and PR veteran with over 20 years’
experience in music and entertainment.
I have a
BA in Communications and a Post Graduate Diploma in Internet Communication
Studies, completed in 2013 through Curtin University, WA.
My work
and experience encompasses publicity, promotions, events management,
celebrity management, artist relations, tour management and radio plugging.
I worked
at Transistor Music from 1996 and was part of the team that delivered success
to Australian singer Vanessa Amorosi.
In 2002 I
joined the promotions department at Universal Music Australia and went on to
work with such international artists as Ronan Keating, Jack Johnson, Lionel
Ritchie, Shania Twain, Ja Rule and so many more. On a local level I worked with
such artists as Powderfinger, Grinspoon, Spiderbait, Sarah Blasko and many
more. In 2005 I became National Promotions and Publicity Manager for the
specialist repertoire and played a big part in the Australian success of
Italian singer Patrizio Buanne. A double Platinum debut album and a sold-out
Australian tour in 2006 was testament to the PR success achieved on behalf of
this artist.
In 2008 I joined
the team at Sony Music as National Promotions and Publicity Manager, Commercial
Music Group. Over the years, I have worked with artists such as Leonard Cohen,
Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Ricky Martin, Il Divo, Tim McGraw and Alan
Jackson. Local artist included Daryl Braithwaite, Kate Ceberano, David
Campbell, Mark Vincent and Adam Harvey.
In 2013, I decided to leave Sony Music and relaunched Estellar Publicity
+ Promotions, to service the growing PR needs of artists, brands and
companies.
I am
