Artist Of The Week: Q&A With Dan Miz

I recently got in touch with the awesomely talented singer-songwriter Dan Miz who is from New York, USA.

In this exclusive interview, Dan talks about what he has been up to, new releases and what’s to come in the New Year.

You can read our past interview from earlier this year via the link below:

Check out Dan’s awesome new single “Circles” which is from his latest EP “DIVE Vol.1” out now on ITunes and Spotify.

Please welcome my special guest Dan Miz.

What have you been up to since our last interview?

DM: Since we last spoke, I decided to take some time to record a couple of EP’s and singles. I took the majority of the year to really perfect my craft and sound.

There are some really exciting projects coming up. Can you tell us what they are?

DM: I have my first EP coming out on the 8th December which I am super stoked about along with some other exciting releases to come in 2018.

You have a new single, which I love called “Circles”. What is the meaning behind the song and what was the inspiration for recording this track?

DM: Circles is a song about a person who has a personality that resembles a roller coaster. The idea behind this song is to paint a picture of a person who is happy one second and upset the next. But, when looking at the song from a bird's eye view, one can start to see that we all have these tendencies.

Will there be a video clip to follow?

DM: Nope! But, we are dropping a video for the release on the 8th.

Following “Circles” you have a 2 part EP called DIVE Vol.1 to be released December 8th 2017, new single “Touch The Sky” January 5th 2018 and DIVE Vol.2 on February 18th 2018. What should we expect? And is it any different from your past releases?

DM: The music is fuller, meaningful/relatable and visual as well. We worked so hard on the music to make it not only a sonic experience, but a visual experience. I want people to see and feel the sounds that are coming out of these projects.

What has been your favourite in the creating process of both EP’s?

DM: My favourite part is building the song on a blank canvas. Into today’s day, the possibilities of where you can take sound are endless.

What should we expect in the coming months?

DM: More music and some cool visuals.

And what would you like to say to your fans?

DM: Super excited to share some music with everyone. Cannot wait for you guys to take it and find your own definitions in it.

Thank you so much for doing this exclusive interview with me, it was a pleasure.

Make sure to purchase Dan’s latest new EP DIVE Vol.1 now on ITunes.

You can also listen to the EP on Spotify.
