Recently, I had the pleasure in interviewing Matt from Twofold Vision to chat about the duo, instruments they play, what their name means, their latest EP and more.

Check out some of their songs.

‘Your Love’ from 2017 EP Perspective.

Some really awesome upbeat tracks with feel-good tempos that is sure to get you up and jumping.
Great music if you’re looking for work out music, party music etc.

A truly talented duo!!!
Their style is very European feel that I could imagine being at a dance club in Germany or Sweden and dancing away to their music!!!

Look forward to hearing more and I hope you all enjoy their music as much as I am right now!!!

You can purchase their latest EP ‘Parallax’ now on ITunes, including their other EP Perspective.

I also wanted to add, you can listen to all of their music now on Spotify and SoundCloud.

I will post the links on where to purchase, the link to their Spotify page and social media pages at the end of this entry.

Please welcome my special guest Matt.

Please tell the readers who are Twofold Vision i.e. members and where you’re from?
Matt: We’re Matt and Alicia and we make up Twofold Vision, a two-piece electronic act from Melbourne.

What instruments does each of you play?
M: Alicia plays guitar, Matt plays keys and we both sing, write and produce.

The name Twofold Vision, what does it mean to you and how did the name come about?
M: We wanted a name that captured the perspectives of two different people, and encompassed contrasting moods and concepts. We spent some time brainstorming a lot of different ideas for names before coming up with Twofold Vision, and we knew that it was the one that best represented what we wanted. It encapsulated everything our music was about and also sounded really cool!

Your latest EP ‘Parallax’ has some amazing tracks to listen to. Take us through the process of making the EP?
M: We started writing the first two tracks and we knew we wanted to write something darker, than our previous music, with a strong concept to unite the EP. During the lyric writing process for The Fear Never Sleeps, we solidified the narrative for all of the tracks and that set the direction for the rest of the writing phase. We wrote the lyrics for the tracks in a linear fashion in an effort to make it flow smoothly and create a cohesive storyline.

Out of all the tracks on the EP which one was your favourite to make and why?
M: The favourite for both of us to write was the final track on the EP, The End of an Era.
The tracks progress through a lot of different sections, which made the writing process really interesting and fun for us.

In the coming months will there be a tour to promote the EP?
M: Last month we played a local show to launch the EP, but currently don’t have any tour planned. We’re not really at the stage to tour yet but are looking forward to it hopefully sometime in the future!

What’s next for you between now and in 2019?
M: We’re going to focus our energy on writing a lot more music and experimenting with some new sounds. In terms of more shows, we don’t have anything planned but are keeping our options open.

And lastly, what would you like to say to your fans?
M: Thanks to everyone who has listened to our music and supported us. We’re looking forward to being able to bring you a whole lot of new music in the year to come!

Make sure to keep up to date with us on Facebook and Instagram and follow us on Spotify as well!
